JUDGE TIFFANY L. HAERTLING – 442ND DISTRICT COURT
Judge Tiffany Haertling presides over the 442nd Judicial District Court and Family Drug Court in Denton County hearing family law matters and civil lawsuits. Prior to becoming a judge, she practiced law for over 20 years in Denton County. She was a partner at Holmes, Diggs & Eames and Board Certified in Family Law since 2006. Judge Haertling is a long-time Denton County resident having graduated from Pilot Point High School. She attended Arizona State University prior to attending law school at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. She has been married to Greg Haertling for 27 years and has two beautiful children named Kyle and Kelsey. She is a member of Argyle United Methodist Church, Past-President of the Denton County Bar Association, former Board Member of MHMR, and former Board Member of the District 14 Grievance Committee and involved with numerous Republican clubs. Judge Haertling has a strong desire to give back to the community which is demonstrated by her establishment of the National Adoption Day in Denton County 10 years ago, the assistance in creation of the low-cost mediation center, the Denton County Alternative Dispute Resolution Center, and the creation of the first Family Drug Court in Denton County which helps to improve the safety and welfare of children in the conservatorship of the Department of Protective and Family Services by facilitating in, and supporting the recovery of, their parents from alcohol and drug abuse.
